Great news - the course is skiable, thanks to Doug and Randy putting in long, hard and cold hours of work. Here's what I've heard from them:
Yesterday they rolled the course for a skate track and then set it this morning. It's still soft but we're building a good base.
There wasn't enough snow yesterday to set a Classic track. Today it's set in just a few places, so you can kick your own trail otherwise.
As always, please keep the classic skiing off the skate track (or off to one side) and the skate skiing off the classic tracks.
The Golf Course Board has requested there be no dogs on the course. Since this is first and foremost a golf course, we are happy to oblige and grateful for use of the course during the winter.
Jeff checked out the rolled course yesterday. Because of some concerns with staying off the greens, the course is significantly different this year in many areas. Just don't get too worried when you find yourself in new territory - it's all part of the big plan. :)
Happy skiing!
